Christmas is a time of change, just ask Brian Barwick (CEO of the FA!!!!). Out with the old, faded and disappointing, and in with stylish and new (Cappello). Such renewal or new beginning has been a feature every year - from days when people left the house via the back door, re-entering the house with coal for warmth and a coin to suggest future prosperity. One could think that Cappello’s knocking at the front door will change coal into diamonds, but pressure and heat may not bring the trophies of success, this comes at a different price.
The price must be actuals and not lists of fancy, such as 'I must exercise more!!!!' Or in the case of Trevor Brooking bemoaning that the youth of English football mustn’t be neglected…amazing from a man who has been charged with developing youth football in England for so many years!!!!!
So for your “new” year what are you going to list on the resolution sheet? Are you going to be truthful? And state actual’s or let things lapse at the first opportunity? Cappello is Captain Serious. He demands the right behaviour, the right attitude and rewards form horses.
